On 10 January 2024, His Excellency Lay Samkol paid a farewell call on Mr Matthew Findlay, Head of Southeast Asia Department, at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) as his tenure as Ambassador to the United Kingdom will come to an end soon. Mr Matthew Findlay highly values Ambassador Lay Samkol’s continued efforts in contributing to the growing ties of relations and cooperation between Cambodia and the UK in various sectors, despite during a short assignment. Both sides pledged their commitment for future cooperation for the mutual benefit of the two countries.
