On 10 November 2023, Ambassador Lay Samkol met a group of 7 Chevening scholars, among the 12 awardees of the scholarship, who came to the United Kingdom for the academic year 2023-2024.
Ambassador informed them of the many recent significant achievements made by the Royal Government of the 7th Legislature of the National Assembly under the visionary leadership of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, as well as the importance of the Pentagonal Strategy. Ambassador also informed them of the key points of the fast-growing relations and cooperation between Cambodia and the United Kingdom as the two countries marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year. Before concluding, Ambassador extended his best wishes for the Chevening scholars with good health and success in their endeavours.
